Saucy Santana Convicts Kodak Black of Copying his track ‘Walk

Kodak Black was accused by some of the copying music! Saucy Santana claims that the rapper stole his track “Walk” and copied the elements of the song in his new single”Spin”.

Santana has accused Black of stealing his song in the comments on his Instagram post. Following the accusations, a lot of social media users began to see similarities between both tracks. Read on to find out all the details about the process.

Saucy Santana Says Kodak Black Copied His Song ‘Walk’

The whole thing started after The Shade Room posted an image showing Santana Black and Santana Black wearing identical outfit side-by-side and asked their fans to vote on who was more stylish. As fans debated which look they liked better, Black commented, “All lives matter,” with an orange heart and shrugged shoulder emoji. He was not considering the post to be serious.

In the meantime, Santana had a whole different story to share. The 29-year-old rapper said, “#TSBroStoleMySong,” in reference to his hit song Walk was released on June 20, 2021. In the last month, Black released a track entitled “Spin”. Both tracks employ the word “walk” multiple times throughout the chorus.

The lyrics of Santana’s hit song read, “Uh, yeah, ho, yeah, I know that you can talk/You talkin’ all that shit, but let me see if you walk/Uh, let me see you walk (Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk)” as Kodak is singing, “Walkin’ and slidin’ and steppin’ and spinnin’/And standing’ on bitches and standing’ on business/Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk,” in his song.

Although the beats and verses of both tracks are totally different, the style in the music videos is similar in that both videos are based on the runway of models.

Followers Comment On the Similarities Between The Tracks 

Santana’s assertions sparked a controversy in the comments and many of the fans sided with him, noting some similarities in the two tracks. “I feel like it’s the same words but two different vibes,” said a fan.

Some were also observed supporting black’s Spin and one fan writing “They’re walking in two different directions…just because they have the consistency doesn’t mean the purpose was the same.” Another fan wrote, “Santana walk is for the ladies & yak walk is for the gang… not the same.”

Another fan pointed out the source from which Kodak could have found the idea for his track and said, “Kodak is from Florida and Florida is known for its dance and I’m sure the inspiration for his track came from his home city. There’s no one searching for a super saucy Santana. Nobody even knows who this person is in real life. Only on the internet.”

It isn’t clear if Black actually drew inspiration from Santana’s music or not. But, the 25-year young man has been making headlines for quite a while. This week, he lash out at BET for awarding his Song Award of the Year award at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards to Latto.

Kodak who was named in that same class, posted a rant on social media, writing “The woman empowerment sh*t Kool. Don’t Get Nun From No One, But You’ll Still Have to Work for It! Don’t Just give it to someone else. They’re women !!!!! If So, Y’all ought to have Gave the Song of The Year to Glorilla Then Not That Hating Mutt.”
